How it works

Three seconds from stuck to "oh, that's how."

No copy-pasting, no retyping equations, no switching tabs. It works on the page you're already on.

1

Press Ctrl + Shift + S

Or click the SightSolve icon. On a Mac it's Cmd + Shift + S. A capture overlay appears on the tab you're looking at.

2

Drag a box around the question

Any question, diagram, graph or passage. It reads the image itself, so nothing is lost.

3

Read the steps, then the answer

The explanation comes first and the final answer last, so you see the method, not just a letter.

Real capture, unedited: an AP Physics question boxed and explained in about ten seconds.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does it just give me the answer?

It gives you the reasoning first and the answer last, so you can follow the method. Every answer shows its working, which is also how you catch the rare mistake.

How accurate is it?

95.8% on 24 official SAT math questions from College Board's public question bank, easy through hard, each one screenshotted and solved the way you'd use it. Reading and writing questions scored 12 of 12 in the same test. Like any AI it can still be wrong, which is why the steps are there.

Where does it work?

Anywhere in Chrome: course portals, PDFs opened in a tab, lecture slides, quizzes, textbook sites, images. If it's on your screen, you can select it.

What do the free credits cover?

60 credits a week, up to 20 a day. A Quick capture costs one credit, a Sharp capture two. They reset every week, no card needed.

What happens to my screenshots?

They're sent to our server, used to generate the explanation, and discarded. We don't store them, we don't build a history, and we don't sell data. Details in the privacy policy.

Does it work on school wifi?

Usually, on both plans. When a school network blocks our main address, SightSolve switches to a backup route by itself, with nothing to set up. We test this on a real school network, and it works there today. We cannot promise every network: one that allows only an approved list of sites, or a school laptop that blocks extensions outright, can still stop it.

Is this allowed at my school?

SightSolve is a study aid. Check your school's policy on AI tools before using it on graded work.
